Last week I had our 28 week visit which included an ultrasound to measure their growth, glucose test, and Doctor visit. The glucose test was not bad at all... The drink tasted like orange soda and it was actually kinda good. The most difficult part of that was that I had 5 minutes to drink and I was so afraid that I would throw it up that I wanted to drink as slow as I could. While I was being timed a woman that I know came up to me and was just chatting and all I could think about was "I have less than 2 minutes to finish and you won't quit talking to me". She is very sweet and it all worked out! The ultrasound was funny as usual - Peyton was ready for his picture but Olivia was hiding.
The good news was that Olivia has gained weight and so did Peyton so we no longer have to go in for weekly ultrasounds! Peyton weighed 2.8 lbs and Olivia weighed 2.6 lbs! We were so glad to hear that they are doing good and so was the doctor. The other good news was that I passed my glucose test and I do not have to go in for the 3 hour test which I have heard is horrible because you have to wait 3 hours in the Dr. office! The labwork did show that I was a little low on iron and so I am now taking an Iron supplement. But the babies are doing great!!!!!
